Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and eligibility
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Sotu mobile application and the sotuapp.com website (together, "Sotu" or the "Service"). By creating an account or using Sotu you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 17 years old to use Sotu.
2. Your account
You sign in to Sotu with your Apple or Google account. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in provider secure. Provide accurate profile information and don't impersonate anyone.
3. Ride at your own risk
This section matters more than any other. Sotu is a journaling and discovery tool, not a navigation or safety system.
- Road data, ratings, curve counts, "road DNA" scores, and generated loops are community-contributed or algorithmically derived. They carry no warranty of accuracy, current road condition, legality, or suitability for you, your vehicle, or the weather.
- Never operate the app while riding or driving. Interact with Sotu only when safely stopped.
- Always obey traffic law. A road being listed, rated, or recommended in Sotu is not an endorsement to ride it, or to ride it in any particular way.
- You ride and drive at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sotu accepts no liability for accidents, injuries, damage, fines, or losses connected to your use of the Service.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create in Sotu — rides, roads, stories, photos, canvas editions, messages, and profile details ("Content"). You grant Sotu a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and share your Content as needed to operate the Service.
Content you make public — public roads, road stories, ratings, and shares — is visible to other Sotu users and to anyone on the web: shared road pages on sotuapp.com are viewable without an account.
5. Acceptable use
Don't harass, threaten, or abuse other users; don't post unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit content; don't scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service; don't upload content you have no right to share. Direct messages and club chats are not pre-moderated, but reported content is reviewed and may be removed, and accounts may be suspended or terminated for violations.
6. Blocking and reporting
You can block any user and report any content in the app. Blocking hides you and the blocked user from each other. Reports are reviewed and acted on within the timelines required by applicable app-store policies.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Account). Deletion permanently removes your account and associated personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. Sotu may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sotu's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to use it (currently zero).
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
10. Changes
These Terms may be updated as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page, and the "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
